Cleaning

Last weekend Lukas helped me clean some of the kitchen cabinets. I don’t know what he enjoyed more: helping me clean or stealing food…

Picture time

Quanda during her shower treatment.

Quanda has been itching all over and biting and scratching herself. Besides giving her kortison tablets we also been showering her twice a week with a special shampoo.

Lukas had a great time playing in his room today, but I guess he still needs his afternoon nap…

It’s been way to long…

My last entry here was about a month ago, but I just don’t seem to find the time for writing here now a days… Any way here is a quick recap of what has happened these last weeks.

Lukas is helping dad to wash my car. Thanks guys!

Lukas hiding out behind a huge tree at daycare.

After our vacation we had a gathering with the parents, kids and personnel at Lukas’ daycare. It’s great to be able to watch Lukas have so much fun with the other kids. I guess that’s why he usually doesn’t want to go home with us… Most of the evening he was trying to keep up with some of the older kids that run quite a bit faster then he does :-)

Dinner at Ferali.

This is one of those pictures that just makes me wonder… When did Lukas became this big?? He really looks like a big boy now!

Gothenburg

The two of us went for a few days to Gothenburg!

During these days we had a great time and besides shopping we also had a look at the Götheborg (a replica of the Ostindiefararen Götheborg which ran aground outside Gothenburg in 1745) and the Göteborgs Naturhistoriska Museum.

On Tuesday evening we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and I just have to say that there burgers are just perfect. If you rather eat a good steak you just have to visit A Hereford Beefstouw! It was an expensive dinner, but I don’t think I ever had such a perfect steak before.

Hereford mmmmm…. Vi sa ju att ni inte skulle ångra er ;-)

Lily, Majken and Lukas

On Thursday Lukas got to visit his second cousins for an afternoon full of fun. They live with their parents in a great house with a huge garden and a very small private beach. We spend the afternoon with lots of playing and bathing and ended the day with a great dinner.

Lukas playing on the trampoline.

Lily and Majken in the pool. Lukas wanted to join them, but he changed rapidly into a badkruka.

Bathing in the sea was no problem. I guess it’s better when he can run in and out of the water by himself.

Playing in the sea.

Andreas decided to test the toys…

    Vilka fina bilder!

Picture time

Our vacation is going way to fast… It’s great to have time to relax and have fun! We finally put the boat into the sea, but Lukas didn’t want to take a boat trip. Maybe he was just to tired yesterday. Let’s hope so…

Here are some of the pictures taken during the last two weeks.

Great picture of a great dog :)

Lukas does not enjoy his new swimming pool… He couldn’t wait to hop in, but he changed rapidly into a badkruka.

But he’s not afraid to get wet and helping dad was of the new pavilion is fun!

Homemade muffins.

Lukas got stuck on his slide.

IPO-R Weekend

I’ve had a perfect weekend with two days of IPO-R training!

Bosse Gustafsson has been successfully training and competing in IPO-R for several years and this weekend he came to Blekinge to give us an introduction. He gave us lots of inspiration and was very positive to all individuals in our training group even the ones that are mainly interested in having fun with the family dog!

IPO-R stands for Internationale Prüfungsordnung – Rettung and is an international dog competition for search and rescue dogs. Saturday we trained the obedience part and on Sunday it was time for disaster rescue training.

I don’t plan to actually start competing, but who cares? Just the training is not only great fun, it’s also a prefect way to train Quanda’s social skills and her self-esteem!

IPO-R obedience: you have to be able to carry your dog!

Quanda lying in the middle of the training field while I’m taking pictures.

Quanda working on the disaster location. She really had fun yesterday!

That’s how it should look like: 100% focus on the fig.

These photo’s were taken by Towe. More pictures can be found in the gallery.
