The forest
Lukas grandmother is visiting us this week and unfortunately it’s been raining almost everyday. Today the weather was actually nice for the first time with a temperature around zero, no rain, no wind. So we were able to have a nice walk in the forest and at the beach and I managed to take some nice pictures of both Lukas and Quanda.
This picture was taken after Quanda washed her paws in the sea… Doesn’t she know that it’s cold??
Lukas walking around at the parking lot just before heading home.
Emil i Lönneberga
Lukas didn’t show much interest in watching TV, he mostly watched commercials and maybe the intro songs of some children programs. Then for a couple of months ago we played Emil i Lönneberga and for the first time he sat and watched concentrated for maybe 20-30 minutes! So you could say that the Emil movies are his favorite
Yesterday I put Lukas in the sofa to watch some Emil while I was going to fix dinner for the two of us and this was how I found him when checking up on him! He must have copied that from dad who has been lying on the sofa watching TV…
The stairs
Lukas on his new playground: the stairs.
Since a few weeks Lukas wants to climb the stairs himself. He just gets furious if we try to carry him up and it’s almost impossible to hold him. We do have to help him thou… Otherwise it would take ages. It’s too much fun looking between the stairs, watching TV or trying to talk to daddy.
Apple cake
Yesterday all four of us went to visit my sister-in-law, boyfriend and dogs. She had baked a apple cake and for the first time Lukas got to taste some grown up cake. He liked the apple cake a lot and sat there and eat until his plate was empty. Just look at the pictures!
Both Lukas and Quanda were very tired once we came home. Lukas could hardly keep himself awake until bedtime and Quanda was knocked out the hole evening!
More pictures can be found at my sister-in-law’s blog.
Lukas Art
Yesterday Lukas was very very quiet… So we went looking for him. He had opened a drawer and found his paper and crayons and was concentrated on drawing. He continued drawing until dinner was ready. Who guessed he could sit still that long
Yesterdays result.
Check out his first drawing from two months ago… He must have had lots of practice at daycare.
Apple and egg
Until now Lukas has only been able to say a few words like mom, dad and hi, but this week he has learned two new words: appel or äpple (dutch or Swedish?) and eitje (dutch for egg).
