The sea
Lukas got to try swimming in the sea and he loved it!
After several days of high temperatures the water near the beach is finally warm enough to take Lukas swimming. With today’s temperature being above 25 degrees and hardly no wind it was impossible to be outside. So after 3 o’clock we took our bathing suits and went to the beach and Lukas got to sit and play in the sea until he cooled down. He really loves playing in and around the water.
Lukas’ day
I started working a couple of weeks ago and I realize I’m missing out on some great times with Lukas. During the summer Lukas is at home with his dad and sometimes they send me a nice picture or film to include me in their fun.
This picture that was send to me today is taken in the sandbox at Lukas’ grandparents. He had lots of fun playing in the sandbox and swimming pool.
Hand imprint
When Lukas was around 11 months old, we made an imprint of his hand and ordered a crystal glass casting. Now it finally arrived and it looks great!
Who needs cutlery?
Today Lukas demonstrated how to eat without cutlery.
Boat trip
Today we went for a short trip in our boat and Lukas got to come with us. On the way back he fell asleep. I guess the waves were just to much…
Swimming pool
Since the temperature the last couple of days has been above 20ºC we decided it was time to buy a swimming pool for Lukas. Today we placed the pool on the terrace and Lukas got to try it out.
Lukas wanted to jump into the pool directly as we started to fill it with water and got irritated when I took him inside to put his swimming suit on. He had a great time playing in and around the pool and got furious when I tried to put his clothes on afterwards. I’ve never seen him that angry before…

First tooth
Lukas is finally getting his first tooth!
He’s been biting on his hands and drooling a lot, so we realized it was on it’s way, but now we can both see and feel the top of the tooth coming through. Now we have to start with a new challenge: daily teeth brushing.
