Looking outside
When dad is going to work, I put Lukas in the window besides our front door so he can wave good bye. Well, he doesn’t really wave good bye… Instead he bangs against the window or tries to lick it.
Today he raised himself against the window towards the terrace and did the same thing. Unfortunately I was to late to finally see myself how silly he looks, but at least I managed to take some nice pictures.
Herbs and peppers – update
As you can see my herbs are growing nicely and my my peppers have come up as well!
Spring
I want to get out and practice tracking with Quanda. I want Lukas to play outside. I want to start fixing the garden. I want so much… But now it’s snowing again! Look at those big snow flakes…
Walking
Lukas has finally managed his baby walker! Today I only had to help him turn around while he was walking back and forth through the hall and the kitchen.
Herbs and peppers
Last week I sowed some herb and pepper seeds: basil, oregano, bell pepper and two kinds of chili peppers. Both the basil and the oregano are already growing!
Facial expressions
Yesterday all of us went to my sister-in-law to celebrate her boyfriends birthday and we had a really nice time! During dinner my sister-in-law managed to take this nice photo of Lukas when he was demonstrating some off his facial expressions.
I was amazed that Lukas managed to stay awake until 21 o’clock without loosing his temper. He was lying in my arms and was hardly able to keep his eyes open, but still he was having a good time.
During the evening Quanda got to spend time with Leopold and Ozzy. It’s nice that they have become so good friends. It makes it so easy for us to take Quanda with us and it’s good stimulation for the dogs as well. All three of them usually sleep very well afterward.
Practice makes perfect
It’s amazing how small children are able to practice the same thing over and over again and never seem to get tiered of it. Lukas continues to practice pulling himself up everywhere and is getting really good at it! In the beginning he was pulling himself up, but now he only needs some support to be able to raise himself and this morning he was standing behind me after raising himself with help of my legs…
Picture time
On the first picture Lukas is reading a book with his dad. Reading is currently one of his favorite activities.
As I wrote a week ago, Lukas likes to stand by the sofa talking to me. All the practice is paying off and now he is able to stand long enough for me to take some pictures.
