Lukas’ page and gallery
New picture on Lukas’ page and new pictures in Lukas’ gallery. Added a new page: updates.
I want that camera!
It has been almost impossible to get a really good picture of Lukas since he started crawling. As soon as he sees the camera he starts racing towards me and tries to take the camera and I end up with lots of pictures looking like this. It’s a cool picture, but not really what I was going for…
Dog walk
It’s usually a real hassle to walk with both Lukas and Quanda, which often means that Quanda has to stay at home. With Lukas being away, I had the chance to take Quanda for a nice long walk and for once Quanda behaved very well, both on and off leash.
Yesterday it was a snowy and windy day, but today the weather was perfect: the temperature just below zero, almost no wind and it was just snowing a little. I just had to take some pictures by the see, but I didn’t have a camera with me so I had to use my mobile instead. It’s camera isn’t that great, but this picture actually turned out quite nice.
Website updates
Lukas has spend the night at his grandparents, so I’ve had some time for myself which I spend mostly in front of the computer working on my website. I finally succeeded to add a gallery to my blog and I’ve added Lukas’ old gallery pages. It was nice to be able to work without interruptions for once, but it was strangely quit being home alone with Quanda.
Gallery
Added a gallery to the website. Moved Lukas’ old gallery pages into the new gallery.
Tracking course
Now I have registered Quanda for a tracking course (blodspår) this spring! She really liked tracking in 2008 and she passed the first test (rörligt prov anlagsklass) without problems. I’m sure she’ll be trilled as soon as we arrive at the training site and she realizes what we’re up to.
I’m really looking forward to continue training with her and hopefully we’ll be able to enter some tracking tests (viltspårprov) later this year.
Now I just have to wait until april 10th for the course to start…
Star Wars
Some friends came to visit us yesterday and they had a present for Lukas: Anakin’s Y-wing Starfighter from Lego. Lukas is to young for Lego, so I had to put it together without his help. I’m looking forward to more Lego presents!
Stickan’s comments on the age recommendation: it’s for 8-14 and Lukas is 9 months so that must be perfect… I guess Stickan is a Star Wars fan trying to convert Lukas into one as well.
Rocking squirrel
During our visit to Lukas’ grandparents today Lukas got to try out his new rocking squirrel. It’s actually a late Christmas present, which his grandfather made himself. It’s a very nice homemade toy, which I think Lukas will enjoy a lot!
Walk in the snow
Yesterday I took a walk together with Lukas and took the time to take some pictures of the surroundings. I really like taking a walk in the current conditions. The temperature lies around zero degrees, there is not to much wind and the snow is lying almost untouched on the fields, so you can see animal tracks.
During the walk I saw a deer close by between the trees that was looking right at me, but unfortunately I didn’t hold the camera just then and after a short time he ran away.
I also took a picture of all the snow on our driveway, which shows one of the downsides of winter. Shoveling snow isn’t one of my favorite activities!
Home sweet home
Tuesday it was time to drive back home to Sweden. It was not a nice trip since it was snowing all the way from the Netherlands to Sweden and instead of the normal 10-12 hours it took us 18 hours. During those 18 hours, we once again got the chance to listen to those nice dutch children songs when Lukas was not sleeping
It’s always nice to come home again, especially to come home to Quanda! But after this trip it was even better
