Wooden shoes
Lukas got a present from a cousin of mine: wooden shoe slippers! They just look like original dutch wooden shoes and they seem to be nice and warm.
Wooden blocks
While staying at Lukas’ grandma it’s time to test mom’s old toys. This nice wooden car with blocks is the only baby toy left, but it keeps Lukas occupied taking out one block after the other while scattering them over the floor.
Road trip
Lukas is for the first time in the Netherlands to visit his relatives. Yesterday we were traveling for 14 hours to get here. The trip went much smoother then we expected and Lukas was sleeping at least every second hour in the beginning. During the second halv he was awake most of the time and we got to listen to some nice dutch children songs

Birthday girl
Happy birthday Quanda !!!
This picture was taken when Quanda was 8 weeks old, the day she moved in with me. It’s hard to realize that this cute little puppy is already four years old.
Baby walker
Yesterday Lukas got a baby walker and after some practice he already manages to use it. He’s not that steady yet so we have to be close by to prevent him from falling, but with some training he should soon be walking around himself.
The cart is a little small for Lukas, but he can sit in it. So when he becomes tired we can give him a lift.
Coffee break
At noon the whole family went for a coffee break to Lukas’ grandparents. After some snacks Lukas ended up playing with his dad’s old toys, while Quanda found a bone to keep busy.
Lunch at Åhlens
Lukas and I met a friend of mine for lunch at Åhlens today. We used to go out for lunch at least once a week and being on on parental leave I really miss that. It’s actually no problem to take Lukas out for lunch. He enjoys looking around so much, that he hardly has time to eat his bread.
After lunch we went shopping and Lukas got his first pair of shoes!
Snow
We have had snow for a while now and I’m trying to let Lukas enjoy it every day since you never know when to expect a good snowy winter again… And he does seem to enjoy winter, especially riding his sled, the faster the better it seems.
Today after the ride on the sled I put Lukas on the ground so he could checkout the snow from up close.
Cookie Monster

New furniture
A week ago we finally got our new dinner furniture for the living room: a large table, six chairs and a cabinet. It is made of soap treated oak which gives it a nice light color. We also took the time to fit a painting above the cabinet. The living room really starts to look great!
Now I just have to fix the curtains I bought during the summer, but I just don’t know where I put those…
